Cat was 10 years old, Juria was 6 and Daryl was 4 when I told them that we're gonna have a meeting after lunch."meeting mommy?, yay!!yay!!..meeting..like the office people mom?" Cat wanted to confirm her curiosity. "Yup" I replied her.."meeting will start at 2.30pm" told them.
"where are we going to have the meeting mom?, here in the living room? or at the dining table?"
Juria wanted to be rather formal and told her tiny self that it would be a much serious matter compared to what the word "meeting" was actually implying in this matter. Deep down I felt so good..it works.."well ..we'll have it here at the dining table" I told them. I heard Daryl was asking Juria" kak ngah ..what is a meeting?" Juria answered him.."meeting la.."
Those were the days..whenever I wanted them to listen and to take whatever I said seriously, I would call it a meeting. It worked astonishingly well, the most insinuative choice there was. That particular day, that particular minute, I dumped philosophy and started preaching to them. I was talking about why they have to be good in school and told them too that if they didnt want to go to school they would have to get married or get a job. Told them that going to school and being a good student are the only responsibilities that I am particularly giving them at the moment. Anyway it was a really good meeting, an unforgettable one ..the attendants were so serious even to my little son who hardly listens to anyone, surprisingly took whatever I said in the meeting so seriously. Thank you God..
Sometimes in life u might not be financially rich but u could feel so rich when u have Cat, Juria and Daryl. Am so lucky to be blessed with this three wonderful beings.
To Juria, the meeting really made her wonder. She must have thought about it so deeply that the next day she came to me and told me.." mom, thought of what u've said in the meeting, mom, I've decided to get married". Hahahaha...but she was very serious...hahahahaha...I did not laugh at her then but now whenever this special memory hits me, I'd burst into laughters..
This is a cool story and memory well kept. Keep up the good job dear. Love the story
